A house moving permit is required when a residential structure is being relocated from the original location in which the construction occurred. All house moving permits shall fall under one of the below scenarios:

Existing Structure relocating from one location to another within City Limits.
Existing Structure relocating outside of City Limits.
Existing Structure relocating from outside into City Limits.

Modular structures (prefabricated) are built in a factory to about 80-90% completion and then shipped to the building site where it is attached to permanent engineered foundation, and then completed. Modular structures may be allowed, depending on the use, and permitted as single-family residences or new commercial businesses.

If the structure is a Single-Family Dwelling Unit:

A Single-Family Dwelling Permit is required to be submitted in addition to the House Move Permit.

If the structure is a Manufactured Home:

A Manufactured Home Permit is required to be submitted in addition to the House Move Permit.

A manufactured home built before June 15, 1976 shall not be allowed in the City of Weatherford. Any manufactured home that was manufactured after June 15, 1976, not bearing the label or seal of compliance with the Federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards shall not be allowed in the City of Weatherford.

The City of Weatherford only allows Manufactured Homes in APPROVED Manufactured Home Parks. Any manufactured home that has been remodeled, altered or modified since it was originally sold may not be installed in the City of Weatherford.
